Welcome to RT Martial Arts Vero Beachside!
Our passion for martial arts keeps growing, and so does our academy! It is with great pride that in early 2026, RT Martial Arts opened the doors to its newest home: Vero Beachside.
Bringing the same core values and technical excellence that built our mainland Vero Beach and Port Saint Lucie locations, this new space was created specifically to serve our coastal community. Under the continued leadership of our founder, Master Renato Tavares—a 5th-degree black belt born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with over 25 years of experience at the highest level—we are expanding our mission to transform lives through martial arts.
At our Vero Beachside location, you will find the perfect environment to learn, train, and improve. We maintain our philosophy of respect, discipline, and constant evolution, offering world-class instruction in:

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
A grappling-based martial art that focuses on technique control. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu builds confidence, improves fitness, and teaches real-world self-defense for all ages and skill levels.
Kickboxing
A high-energy striking program designed to burn calories, increase strength, and improve coordination. Kickboxing is ideal for those looking to get in shape while learning powerful striking techniques.
Muay Thai
Known as the “Art of Eight Limbs,” Muay Thai develops discipline, conditioning, and mental toughness. This program teaches authentic stand-up striking using punches, kicks, elbows, and knees.
MMA
A complete mixed martial arts program. MMA training enhances overall athleticism, self-defense skills, and prepares students for real combat scenarios or competition.

Renato began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in Rio de Janeiro and has dedicated over 25 years to the sport, earning multiple World, Pan, and European titles while training and competing alongside some of the most respected names in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA history.
Renato is widely recognized as an outstanding professor, valued for his dedication to helping students of all ages and levels reach their full potential while enjoying the physical, mental, and life-changing benefits of Jiu-Jitsu.

I decided to drop in for a couple classes while visiting family in the area. The students and coaches were very welcoming and I got in some great drilling and rolling. The facility is nice and clean with lots of mat space. I'm looking forward to visiting again! 🤙🏻

This is a great place to start. The instructors are very helpful & can assess your skill level. We are taking the BJJ class and kickboxing twice a week and we love it. Very nice owner is always there & easy to talk to . Kid classes too. Very clean.
